Growing up in rural New England, my direct time spent in nature and my close connections to family with earth based spiritual perspective informed my path greatly. Other voices, such as those of non-human kin like white pine and beach rose, the Atlantic Ocean and the Green Mountains, also continue to hold, instruct, and raise me.
My own healing journey, first and foremost, cultivated the spirit that threads my personal and professional practice together.
I am deeply grateful to all of my teachers for the heart, patience, resources, and time they have shared with me. In this, I am devoted to live in a way that respects all that has come before me, and all that will come after me.
I hold a BA in Psychology and English Literature from the University of Connecticut, and have received certification from The Institute of Sustainable Health and Nutrition (2009-2015).
My herbal trainings and apprenticeships began in 2013, when I first began working in holistic wellness spaces under a variety of health professionals as administration (chiropractor, naturopath, homeopath, CST/LMTs). I have apprenticed under wild food foragers in the culinary industry, and have been under the direct guidance of Mary Blue of Farmacy Herbs, Susan Clements of Earth and Ocean Herbals, and Kay Parent of Rhode Island, as well as Melanie Scofield, Steve Byers, and Jillian Hyllantree Twisla of Earthwalk School of Herbal Traditions all of Maine.
I am currently studying massage therapy (services to come winter 2022) and am attuned to the Usui/Holy Fire tradition (Asa Angel, Myra Partyka). Here I bring awareness to the power of therapeutic and intentional touch; the remembrance of the body as electric and therefore capable of emitting and receiving energy. Through my hands I listen to subtleties, sensing movement and shifts within the fascia, bones and tissues. I am a facilitator, creating space for your own inner awareness to hear your body's story. In this modality we can guide the channels of energy to reset and reorganize.
